The Altcoin Season Index (ASI) has fallen to levels that historically indicate the dominance of Bitcoin on the wider cryptomarket. With only 11 out of 57, Altcoins followed that performed better than Bitcoin in the last 60 days, the index has definitely shifted to “Bitcoin season”.
At the time of the press, the graph demonstrated the steep decrease in Altcoin versions, in contrast to Bitcoin’s persistent walk.
Such a divergence refers to a short -term preparation for altcoins. It is worth noting that earlier ASI dips were preceded by strong Altcoin recovery, which increases the possibility of future opportunities.

Of the 57 Altcoins, only 11 have performed better in the last 60 days than Bitcoin, with XRP liding the peloton with 117.3% return, followed by Aave at 82.0%. However, a majority of the altcoins has been left behind, with coins such as Eth and Pepe suffering remarkable falls.
From a historical point of view, such a grim underperformance often preceded Altcoin -Rebounds, because market trotations are shifting capital back to alternative assets. It is remarkable that Large-Cap Altcoins such as XRP and Aave tend to act as leaders, which indicates early signs of recovery.

Page views for coins such as XRP, Ethereum and Dogecoin are also considerably enriched, correlating with periods of increased volatility in the cryptomarkt. While Bitcoin continues to dominate public attention, Altcoins also use a remarkable interest.
This trend is crucial, because larger page views often indicate an early stages of retail involvement – a precursor of potential flows in the market. In particular, peaks in curiosity tend to adapt to speculative phases, suggesting that Altcoins can regain traction in the next growth cycle. This reinforces the story that, despite their continuous underperformance, altcoins remain on the radar of investors.

Bitcoin dominance and impact on altcoins – what is the next step?
The rising dominance of Bitcoin – more than 50% – has sharpened the liquidity for altcoins, so that their underperformance has been brought to the attention. Historically, such phases signal a consolidation period for Altcoins, a true capital to Bitcoin is attracted as a safe port activa.
This dynamic often precedes an Altcoin restoration cycle, because investors ultimately rotate the win in smaller assets. However, the persistent bitcoin dominance could suppress Altcoin growth in the short term, which extends the Bearish sentiment.
In the future, Altcoin Recovery will depend on Bitcoin stabilization, improved macro conditions and renewed speculative interest. Although risks continue to exist, historical patterns suggest that Altcoins can greatly reflect as soon as the dominance of Bitcoin starts teasing.
