HOT Labs is the brainchild of Petr Volnov and Yuriy Olentyr, two prominent figures in blockchain development. Petr Volnov, founder of HERE Wallet, has deep roots in the NEAR Protocol ecosystem. After obtaining his degree in computer science from ITMO University and studying business administration in Los Angeles, Petr founded FORA Vision, an AI-based remote coaching startup.
After a successful exit, he turned his attention to crypto and developed NEAR Protocol’s non-custodial wallet, HERE, which has grown to over 600,000 active users and is a leader in the NEAR ecosystem. With over half a million followers on social media, Petr is also an influential voice in the crypto community.
HOT Wallet: an experimental innovation
In early 2024, HERE Wallet and HAPI unveiled HOT: a non-custodial wallet within Telegram, designed for seamless crypto transactions. Powered by Chain Signature technology, HOT enables cross-chain swaps and link drops and opens the potential for unified gas payments across multiple chains.
