South Korea’s Yonsei University has joined Ripple’s University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), becoming its 58th global partner and 12th in the Asia-Pacific region. This partnership aims to drive innovation in blockchain research across disciplines, including artificial intelligence, finance, information systems and management. Backed by Ripple’s funding and resources, Yonsei University will facilitate hackathons and launch an XRP Ledger (XRPL) validator, improving both the university’s research capabilities and the security of the XRPL network. This partnership aims to demonstrate Ripple’s commitment to advancing blockchain education and innovation worldwide.
