The Fairshake super political action committee (PAC) spent $2 million on an attack ad against Jamaal Bowman that has fewer than 400 views.
Fairshake released an ad attacking New York Congressman Jamaal Bowman four days ago, which is available on YouTube.
The ad’s budget was disclosed to the Federal Election Commission.
According to StandWithCrypto.org, Bowman voted against two “very pro-crypto” bills and one “somewhat pro-crypto bill.” In analyzing these three statements, StandWithCrypto.org found that Bowman is “strongly anti-crypto.”
Last month, Ripple Labs donated $50 million to FairShake.
As Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse says in the press release:
“Ripple will not, and the crypto industry must not, remain silent while unelected regulators actively seek to hinder the innovation and economic growth enjoyed by millions of Americans. The crypto industry plans to continue investing heavily in these efforts until we see meaningful change.”
Earlier this month, Coinbase followed with its own $25 million donation.
“Coinbase is an apolitical company that deals with issues unrelated to our mission. But when it comes to our mission to advance economic freedom by increasing cryptocurrency adoption, we are deeply involved in policy efforts…
This must be a bipartisan effort because passing legislation requires bipartisan support and because an equal percentage of Democrats (22%), Republicans (18%), and Independents (22%) own crypto.”
