As it prepares for an upcoming one Bitcoin runes airdrop for holders, old Ethereum NFT project CyberKongz is gearing up to reward this Prometheans Ordinals holders – while also looking to attract and onboard a new audience from ETH to Bitcoin.
Launched prior to the Runes token protocol, most recently from CyberKongz Ordinals collection has created enough hype ahead of the promised token drop for holders. And this week’s launch of the Runes token DOG•GO•TO•THE•MOON suggests a potential trajectory for the rollout.
Holders of Runestone Ordinals assets received one air drop of the Runes meme coin DOG•GO•TO•THE•MOON on Wednesday. DOG quickly made a notch almost twice the volume of all other Bitcoin Runes combined, with the increase benefiting holders. CyberKongz holders are no doubt hoping for a similar outcome.
“I like to think of us as chain-agnostic,” pseudonymous founder of CyberKongz Henry the Grape told Declutter. “We knew it would be a mad rush, but we wanted to get an early Rune that matched the origin and culture.”

The team has its sights set on securing one of the first 10 Runic etchings according to the Bitcoin halving last Friday. With 8 BTC (over $500,000) in a wallet, CyberKongz wanted to etch the Runes token on block 840,000 immediately after the halving, aware of the significance of the moment for the project’s provenance. To their surprise, the team took the #2 Runic Etch.
“We thought more like a sword and less about the dollar and cents,” Henry the Grape said of the effort and expense. “We asked ourselves: what does this feel like? What is cool for space?’”
When brainstorming possible names, he said they were determined to choose one that captured both the essence of Web3 and the history of CyberKongz. They chose the name “⚡️DECENTRALIZED” – yes, including the emoji.
Most early Runic names are long and strange, thanks to protocol restrictions, but CyberKongz wanted to keep things simple. Well, apart from that lightning bolt emoji.
“It’s the only word in the top 40 [Runes]’, said Henry the Grape. “We were involved with ETH early on, it fit very well with who we are as a project.”
The team shared its Runes airdrop allocation exclusively with Declutter. With a total supply of 21 billion tokens, 91% will go to Prometheans holders, while 4.5% of the supply will be distributed among 20 leading Ordinals communities. The remaining 4.5% goes to launch contributors.
The snapshot of Prometheans holders will take place on block 841.269, estimated at Sunday afternoon (UTC). Of the 21,000 Prometheans assets launched earlier this month, more than 18,000 were distributed to Ordinals communities.
“We chose communities that align with the values of CyberKongz and specifically the story of ⚡️DECENTRALIZED, namely origin and culture,” says Henry the Grape.
“We used a weighted script called the Diamond Hand Script. So we took snapshots of holders in different communities and based the airdrop on the retention time,” he added. “It went to the 1,000 longest lasting wallets to reward people who bet on Ordinals early.”
