Everywhere you go today, it’s all about one thing: the Azuki Elementals coin. The fascination, excitement and intrigue surrounding this coin have created a fervor that is impossible to ignore.
The Azuki Elementals are the third addition to the rapidly expanding Azuki universe, including Azuki’s Genesis Collection and Beanz. Elementals includes four different domains (Lightning, Earth, Water, and Fire) and rarity levels and consists of 20,000 NFTs. The first 10,000 were dropped to Azuki holders at the project’s recent Vegas event. The rest were sold during today’s Elementals sale.
The coin started at 9 a.m. PT for Azuki holders and then for Beanz holders at 9:10 a.m. PT. The public auction followed a Dutch auction model and started with a hefty price of 2 ETH. This price gradually dropped by 0.1 ETH in five-minute intervals. However, as many predictedall 10,000 Elementals completely sold out for 20K ETH during the Beanz coin window before the collection could go to public sale.
Comparisons with Yuga
Many observers have drawn intriguing parallels between Yuga and Azuki, comparing BAYC to Azuki, Elementals to MAYC, and Beanz to BAKC. Both Yuga and Azuki have firmly established themselves as blue-chip projects with many collections within their ecosystems. While such comparisons are understandable given the similarities in structure, they somewhat overlook the distinctive identities and visions of these projects.
Despite these comparisons, the Azuki community has been clear in articulating its unique identity and roadmap. They claim that their mission and plans are clearly their own and not just a mirror image of other projects.
As projects continue to navigate the rapidly evolving space, one thing is clear: the Azuki community is not just following a trail, but charting its own path, creating a distinct identity and legacy in the world of digital art.
